Things To Consider, Before Finalizing On A PG


It is always a good idea to compare the PG-paying guest accommodation before finalizing it. At least, in the beginning, you should check the PG and of course, that needs some research because you have to stay there and a few things are necessary to check. I recently visited PG in Greater Noida and got some things that needed to be checked, here are some things that you should check before finalizing anyone.

Check for all that you have to share. If you are planning to move into a sharing accommodation then it is obvious that other person can’t live according to you. So it is better that you understand the owner and make him/her your needs before you are switching to a sharing one. Try choosing the like-minded one.

Are you okay with sharing the washroom? Mostly PGs have the washrooms that needed to be shared with so many people. Are you comfortable with it? Like I am not, I can’t use the washroom that 10 other people are using. I decided to shift to PG in Govindpuram Ghaziabad where I got everything I was looking for. If you are not settled at any point ask the owner for it. Never ever compromise on your hygiene and health that a dirty washroom can adversely impact.

Ask for the food availability and don’t forget to check the quality. There are most of the students prefer having their meals in PG only, some demand vegetarian while some for non-veg. Ask the owner about the meals whether provided in the PG or not and then ask for all the meals breakfast, lunch, and dinner and the timings for the same. Then you can reduce or increase according to your choice. Then you can ask for the meals reaching to your college or office, I mean the destination only.

Ask for the time limits because there are certain PGs that don’t allow entry or exit after a specific time. if you have any shifts then make it clear in front of your owner that you are coming late or going early. It is better to be clear with all the rules and regulations with the guest policy as well as how many guests can visit you, what arrangements you are allowed to make, etc.

There are some more things as well that you need to check and clear in advance like housekeeping, TV timings, visitors, smoking, drinking, parties, and more. With the little points, you’ll be able to find the best PG for you.
